Indeed, what have I been playing? Well, the better question is, what has EVERYONE (with a PS3 or 360 that is) been playing? Word on the street indicates Grand Theft Auto IV is a big deal - it's even been spoofed on Conan O'Brien. I think its safe to say that GTA IV is the must-play game of the week. . .and next.
Grand Theft Auto IV (PS3 / Xbox360) - I spent many hours since Tuesday playing this game. It's very good, but I will say the core game play and feel haven't changed much over the years. The control is much improved over previous installments and so are the graphics. Liberty City is amazing. . .you've probably
heard it all before. I think GTA 4 will appeal to a wider variety of gamer this time around (if that's possible), as some of the play mechanics are much easier to deal with and the multiplayer is supposedly out of this world (I haven't tried it yet). I'm not as impressed with the radio stations -- I've yet to find a station that plays music that I want to hear. You think
Morrissey flat out refused to sign the contract? Come on! Overall, this is a must buy game for anyone with a nex-gen console. It's also a good reason to buy a PS3 or Xbox360 if you haven't done so already --
Highly Recommended.
Mystery Dungeon: Shiren The Wanderer (DS) - I'm still playing this game? Even with GTA IV in the house? Yes! I can't say enough good things about Mystery Dungeon. . .it's just great fun. It's almost a shame GTA came out this week; it is taking me away from the magic of Shiren The Wanderer! This game is a must buy for any DS owner that's sick of training their brain. Reaffirmed:
Highly Recommended.
